On a beautiful day you acquire a sight of Cramer Mountain from Deerhead Lake, and you can never get enough of the magnificent skiing at Crystal Mountain. This spot, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Summit Creek, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing       at White Pass if you're here. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Northern Cascade Range. Cowlitz River - Clear Fork has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby, and there are fine places to look at along the Twin Sisters Trail. Deerhead Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid place in close proximity                  to Deerhead Lake is Cowlitz Pass; Pipe Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. If you came for an overnight stay White Pass Campground is a splendid spot to camp, and nearby you come across the Jug Lake Trail which is a great hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Suncadia Resort is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two; a lake close by is Jess Lake. Deerhead Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Cascade Range. Throughout the days of summer at Deerhead Lake highs are usually in the 60's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 30's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Deerhead Lake descend into the 10's. But wait, there's more to do near Deerhead Lake.
