If you need a location to stay Howard Johnson Snoqualmie/Summit is a splendid choice, and the slopes of Snoqualmie are so inviting nobody can resist. While you're here at Deer Lakes you can take a hike along the Lake Michael Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There is a wonderful hiking trail near Deer Lakes called the Davis Peak Lookout Trail; lakes are such serene       places, why not check out Peggys Pond. The trees of Cle Elum Ranger District are a great source of shade on hot summer days, and a glorious place to camp here at Deer Lakes is Hour Creek Campground. Deer Lakes usually gets lots of rainfall; the month with most of the snow is January; the driest month is July. Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. On a delightful day at Deer Lakes you can take a hike along the Escondido Trail, and paddling                  on Cle Elum River is so much fun. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Dry warm beds await you at Suncadia Resort, and Cooper River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. And if that's not sufficient there's lots more amusing stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Deep Lake is a wonderful lake in close proximity to Deer Lakes, and you can spot Cathedral Rock from Deer Lakes. Deer Lakes is good enough to spend more than a day at, Tucquala Meadow Campground is a good local campground; everybody close by loves skiing at Stephens Pass. Summertime highs at Deer Lakes commonly tend to be in the 60's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's.
