And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable things just keep reading. After a long day outdoors Boatyard Inn is a great site to spend a night or two. Deer Lake is ordinarily a rather dry location; the month with most of the rain is December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Throughout the summer months at Deer Lake highs are regularly in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures       are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are usually in the 40's with temperatures at Deer Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. There's so much to do here at Deer Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Port Susan Camping Club is a fine site for that, and right next door to Deer Lake you come across a golf course called Harbour Pointe Golf Course. If you come at the right time of year, Pilchuck Creek offers some great                  whitewater, and a delightful close by hotel is Langley Motel. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Island County Fair Assn, and Deer Lake is not the only spot nearby, Orrs Pond is a nearby lake.
