The warmest time of the year at Deer Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, generally in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Deer Lake. At Deer Lake Dam close to Deer Lake there are some exciting things to see; Tucannon Campground is a glorious campground here. If       you need a site to stay Weinhard Hotel is a good choice, and a pleasant location is Waterman Gulch. Dry warm beds await you at Pioneer Motel, and you acquire a perfect sight of Goat Mountain from here. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Rattlesnake Trail, and Deer Lake is a pleasant site to camp, The Last Resort RV Campground and Store is a pleasant site. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do close to Deer Lake. There's                  nice hiking along the Panjab Trail, and a lake close by is Beaver Lake. Go for a hike on the Salter Trail, and skiing at Bluewood is one of those things you just ought to do. Deer Lake gets very little rainfall; December is when you get the most snow here, and the driest month of the year is July.
