This lake is so wonderful. Camping at The Last Resort RV Campground and Store is always a fine experience, and hiking along the Salter Trail is great fun. Waterman Gulch is a perfect spot to discover, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Rattlesnake Trail. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area in close proximity to Deer Lake has to offer. At Deer Lake you can catch a glimpse of Goat Mountain; Deer Lake Dam is not far at all from Deer Lake. Deer Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Tucannon Campground is a brilliant local campground; if you've had enough of Deer Lake, Rainbow Lake is close by. At Deer Lake you don’t see much rainfall; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow; July is when it's the driest.
