McBride Lake
14 miles away
2/3 of the lake is gone. Kalama River now flows right thru the middle of what used to be the lake. It is amazing to see. The 8100 road is washed out at mile 11 so plan on a 2 mile walk....McBride Lake is no longer in existance. Though I will have this confirmed on July 23, 2008. It is my understanding that during the 2007/2008 winter, a massive land slide occurred which filled the lake. McBride was once a great lake to catch and release fish throughout the day....McBride Lake is no longer in existance. Though I will have this confirmed on July 23, 2008. Indian Hole Campground

Indian Hole Campground no longer exists. It was apparently named for the abundance of native artifacts found in the area by early settlers. The camp was owned and maintained by St Regis Paper Co. In later years it fell into disrepair and finally closed in the 1980s....
