Washington has many beautiful lakes and Davis Lake is one of them. Davis Lake gets a large amount of water; the wettest month of the year is generally December, that's the one that rains the most, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a delightful little journey to Connelly Creek, and not far from Davis Lake you'll discover Ladd Pond which is a pretty lake. And that's not all you can do here at Davis Lake.
There are other places here than Davis Lake, for example Duck Lake, and nearby you stumble on the Coldwater Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail.
These mountains rock, just explore all the amusing things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. If you came for an overnight stay Tilton River Mobile Home Park is a fine place to camp, and one of the dominant highlights of the surroundings of Davis Lake is Cottlers Rock. You absolutely should have a thing about

the Northern Cascade Range. Going for a hike on the Toutle River Trail is always a great adventure, and there is a nice hiking trail close by called the Fawn Lake Trail. At Davis Lake through the summer highs are in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Davis Lake throughout the wintertime usually fall into the 30's.

MORE STUFF NEARBY:

Indian Hole Campground
Indian Hole Campground no longer exists. It was apparently named for the abundance of native artifacts found in the area by early settlers. The camp was owned and maintained by St Regis Paper Co. In later years it fell into disrepair and finally closed in the 1980s....

Tilton River
Is it open?...

Riffe Lake Campground

Rapjohn Lake
18 miles away
Bass seem to like pumkin color worms and grubs. Got most of them a foot from bank in 2 foot water deep in the lily pads....I have found that the trout in Rapjohn  go for the chartruese power bait....

Tanwax Lake
19 miles away
The area for swimming wasnt much. However, I was there to get some lily pad roots for my pond. With the roots later hatched about 8 fish. They are over a year old but in a small pond with gold fish they did not grow more than an inch. I cannot identify the fish since they are about an inch long. However, they have a single long dorsal fin that ends close to the small tain fin. Does not show any stripes or trout colors. But grey in color. The pond drained to about 4 inches after I removed some. However, 2 remained in the mucky water which did not have any aireation. They are now in my indoor fish tank and get along well with the larger gold fish. What are they??...

McBride Lake
19 miles away
2/3 of the lake is gone. Kalama River now flows right thru the middle of what used to be the lake. It is amazing to see. The 8100 road is washed out at mile 11 so plan on a 2 mile walk....McBride Lake is no longer in existance. Though I will have this confirmed on July 23, 2008. It is my understanding that during the 2007/2008 winter, a massive land slide occurred which filled the lake. McBride was once a great lake to catch and release fish throughout the day....McBride Lake is no longer in existance. Though I will have this confirmed on July 23, 2008.
