Get yourself into a kayak and hit Nason River, and there is a wonderful hiking trail nearby called the Lake Michael Trail. Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. On a great day at Cup Lake you can take a hike along the Icicle Trail, and Chiwaukum Mountains is painless to spot from Cup Lake. This lake is so wonderful. White Pine Campground is a good local campground, and the County Line Trail is a nice       hiking trail nearby. And if that's not enough there's loads more enjoyable things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. You'll come across a picturesque lake called Lake Charles near Cup Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Icicle Creek offers some fine whitewater. If you came for an overnight stay French Creek Campground is a brilliant location to camp; the Chiwaukum Mountains casts its shadow over Cup Lake. This lake is so wonderful. After a long                  day outdoors Best Western Icicle Inn is a splendid place to spend a night or two; dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn & Suites. Cup Lake ordinarily gets much rain; the month with most of the snow is January, and the driest month is July. A pretty lake like Larch Lake in the neighborhood of Cup Lake is a magnificent site to stop at, and if you feel like a little side visit, try Deadhorse Pass. High temperatures at Cup Lake during the months of summer are in the 60's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's. For the period of the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Cup Lake are in the 10's.
