High temperatures at Crystal Lake through the warmest time of the year are in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's while Crystal Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Placer Lake Dam is an interesting thing to check out, and Crystal Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Dry Creek

| | Campground is a splendid local campground. A large amount of rain falls at Crystal Lake; November is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. Chinook Pass is a nice place to stop at close by, and hey, Gotta ski right? White Pass is a pleasant spot to do that. Crystal Lake is right by the Dalles Ridge Trail. of amusing things already but it goes on, the Northern Cascade Range has it all. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Crystal Mountain, and Howard Johnson Snoqualmie/Summit is a delightful spot to get some rest. And if that's not
enough, there's a heap more to do close to Crystal Lake. The Castle Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Chinook Creek. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all
the cool stuff in the Northern Cascade Range. This is a good region for people who like lakes. Lower Crystal Lake is a lake in the neighborhood, and White River is a tremendous whitewater spot nearby. Crystal Mountain can be seen
from Crystal Lake. There's splendid hiking along the Dewey Lake Trail, and camping at Morse Creek Campground is always a glorious experience. Crystal Lake is located in the Northern Cascade Range.

Granite Lake
 | 11 miles away Granite Lake has crystal clear water, is surrounded by a very primtive campground. I don't recall how many campsites there are, but I have never been there when there was more than one other party. The surrounding area is incredibly beautiful, well worth the extremely rough road in. 4 wheel drive only. There is an abandoned copper mine in the area, and if you can find the trailhead, (good luck), the scenery is breathtaking. I've been to the mine 3 times. Watch out for bears! There is a ghost town below the copper mine. Very little is left. There are picnic tables, no water and no bathrooms. Come prepared.... |
