    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Crockett Lake. Through the months of summer here at Crockett Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Crockett Lake temperatures fall to the 30's. At Crockett Lake you don’t see much rain; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most  
   rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Crockett Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Casey Conference Center is a great local campground; you must pop by Admiralty Bay when you're here.
And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun things just keep reading. People from Oak Harbor love to come to Crockett Lake; if you need a site to stay Inn at Penn Cove is a great choice. A wonderful
 
               place to camp here at Crockett Lake is Mt. Baker RV Park and Campground, and you'll locate a picturesque lake called Morgan Hill Reservoir.
A stunning lake like Loers Pond near Crockett Lake is a good spot to pop by; Best Western Harbor Plaza is a brilliant place to get some rest. A good place in the neighborhood of Crockett Lake is Keystone Spit; one of the best things about this site is its proximity to Monroe Landing.

Cattail Lake in within the Bangor Naval Submarine Base and has not been accessible (even to most navy personnel) since 911.  I have not been to Cattail Lake in a long time.  It is a small natural lake with no dam.   I don't think there is public camping at the Erland Point Mobile Home Park or CRISTA Camps & Conference grounds.  CRISTA Camps & Conference center is at the south end of Island Lake in Silverdale....
