 | 14 miles away Cattail Lake in within the Bangor Naval Submarine Base and has not been accessible (even to most navy personnel) since 911. I have not been to Cattail Lake in a long time. It is a small natural lake with no dam. I don't think there is public camping at the Erland Point Mobile Home Park or CRISTA Camps & Conference grounds.
