    Go to Cream Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. The Olympic Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Not far from Cream Lake, you'll come across Elk Lake which is a lovely lake; there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Elwha River. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Altair Campgrounds is a brilliant place to camp, and the vista of Stephen Peak is charming.
Summer at Cream Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and
 
   through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 30's for Cream Lake. So many exciting things to do in the Olympic Mountains, not sufficient time. Really great skiing awaits you at Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge, and do take a hike on the Long Ridge Trail. So many enjoyable things to do here at Cream Lake, too delightful to be true.
A lot of rainfall falls at Cream Lake; through December
 
               this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is July. If you love the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Cream Lake. Lakes are perfect; Lake Mills is a lake that's close to Cream Lake; if you come at the right time of year, Elwha River offers some great whitewater. A nice nearby hotel is Days Inn Port Angeles, and the wonderful folks of Port Angeles like to hang out nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Quality Inn Uptown is a magnificent choice, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Elwha River Trail. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Lillian River Trail, and some nearby water includes Cream Lake Creek. This location, the Olympic Mountains, has so much outdoors fun stuff. Indian Valley Motel and RV Park is a good local campground, and the sights at Olympic National Park will blow your mind.

I don't think it is as difficult as you say. The trail is well defined, and as a day hike last weekend it took less than 6 hours to do the loop from happy lake trailhead, around boulder lake, past the hot springs and back to my car....

lilly lake has a nice area to camp amd you can go swimming, have a nice nature hike, see a lot of different animals like birds,deer,beavers and squrels.And dont forget bug repelant, there are lots of bugs.You might see other people on the trails and mabye at the lake. You can ride horses up to lilly lake or hike with a friend or dog. Just have fun....

I just love Whiskey Creek Beach. I have been going here for years and now I take my mother every year for 5 days and she loves it also. My daughter and grandchildren have been here and they love it also. It is a great rustic family place. We relax listening to the ebbing tides at night, collect rocks and shells, roast marshmallows for smores and just have fun. Last time we fount a great fishing hole and handicap assessable and it had fire rings bathrooms tables camping sites right down the road. From WCB. You need to try this place if you REALLY want to relax....

Yes the Elwha River trail is only 18 miles away but that is by trail straight through the heart of the Olympic Mtns. And park.

Wynoochee Falls campground has been closed and the campground sign, firepits, restroom and tables removed. You?ll have to drive about 15 miles of gravel road to get here. There is a rock pedestal with a missing sign along the Wynoochee road 4 miles NE of the lake near the end of the road. This marks the parking area and access trail down to the falls. The ? mile trail is interrupted with large ditches to discourage access and camping. The waterfall is only about 100 feet high, (maybe less) but very picturesque, with a large clear basin at its base and an outlet scoured through granite rocks....
