Crater Lake is a lake worth visiting. You completely have to go for Crater Lake. A lake close by is Rachor Lake; while you're here and you like golf, you can go to Cascade Golf Course. While you're here at Crater Lake you can take a hike along the Mount Defiance Trail; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Alpental is reasonably near. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Northern Cascade Range is so good! If you need a location to stay Summit Lodge
| | | |
| | at Snoqualmie Pass is a tremendous choice; at Crater Lake you can see Mount Si. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Snoqualmie River - North Fork in a kayak, needless to say you could also visit McLeod Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. Camping is available at Nor'west Motel and RV Park; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Pratt Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The Christoff Trail is a nice hiking trail | |

next to Crater Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork offers some wonderful whitewater. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the Northern Cascade Range has to
offer. Why not camp at Leisure Time Resorts-america if you're here at Crater Lake, and after a long day outdoors Salish Lodge And Spa is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. The high level of rain makes Crater Lake a relatively
wet location; December is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is July. All through the warmest time of the year here at Crater Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 70's, and the nighttime is a tad chillier of
course, generally in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Crater Lake fall into the 30's. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful.

Honey Lake
 | 11 miles away The lake no longer has any trails to it. All trails are gone from nature reclaiming it. The only way into lake is through quartz creek road(no vehicles)2.5 miles. From there it is a bushwack up to the ridge(2000 ft). From the ridge you can see honey lake. 1000 feet down. The bush is thick in that area (45 degree angle going up and down(or it seem that steep). 15 years ago some guys fished out the lake in one day. Before tha the fish were between 18 to 24 inches rainbow. If you can make it you deserve the good fishing. Haven't fished there in 20 years it may not have any fish in it or it has big fish (I dont know never made it close enough recently to fish). Good luck.

 | 15 miles away This was a beautiful hike, coming out on a lake that was pristine and gorgeous. The only problem is, the hike is really long, steep, up hill, and was exhausting for me. I would consider this an upper intermediate hike.... |
Lake Fontal
 | 17 miles away WE USED TO FISH HUNT AND FOURWHEEL AT THE LAKE...We used to ride dirt bikes in the early 70's up to lake fontal, lotsa fun. I remember the cabins and little store that was up there when I was a kid in the 60's....I used to fish on Lake Fontal but now there isn't any fish.Warning: Lake Fontal Road is a dead end that does not lead to Lake Fontal. The lake is definitely not worth the trouble....We used to ride hores into lake fontal in the late 60's. There used to be a small resort there, complete with cabins, boat rentals, always a huge party opening weekend..(?) big foot sightings in the area...could of been the micro-dot.... |
