High temperatures at Cougar Lake all through the warmest time of the year are in the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Cougar Lake are in the 20's. All the outdoors entertaining things next to Cougar Lake will keep you coming back over and over. Don't leave Cougar Lake without first going for a       hike along the Camp Creek Ridge Trail; a day on the slopes of Stephens Pass is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. Cougar Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; throughout the month of November you get the most rain around here; July meanwhile is the driest month. Penders Canyon is a great place to spend some time at, and Bedal Peak is a peak you can observe from Cougar Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Meadow Mountain Trail,                  and there are some nice whitewater spots on Sloan Creek. Yeah, come up here to the Northern Cascade Range for a glorious time. Going for a hike on the Lost Creek Ridge Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and the skiing at Alpental is good. Be careful coming to the Northern Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna go back home again. There's so much to do here at Cougar Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bedal Campground is a great location for that, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Sauk River - North Fork. If you came to camp Chocwich Campground is a fine spot to do that, and you'll come across a wonderful lake called Nels Lake.
