Cougar Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Cascade Range. The high level of rain makes Cougar Lake a pretty wet location; all through November this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Stephens Pass, and nearby you come across the Meadow Mountain Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail.       Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. Head up to Alpental and strap some skis to your feet; going for a hike on the Camp Creek Ridge Trail is always a magnificent adventure. In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sloan Creek; camping is available at Bedal Campground.
