Can be rented by the hour for private events and open to the public during special events.
Fishing at Curlew Lake that is open year round brings many campers to Republic. Trout, Bass and Tiger Muskie live in these cold waters. Many of the fishermen catch their limit (5) of rainblow trout within an hour. Public boat launch (free) is just down the road from the Campground.
There are many scenic routes in the area too. A motorcyclists dream. Ride for hours, little to no traffic, sometimes called ''God's Country'', with some windy picturesque sights. Many places to stop, take breaks, picnic lunch and sights see along the Highland Historic Loop Drive.

It must have been repurchased by the Bureau of Reclamation when the Dam was being considered. Glad it's still beautiful.... |
