Do explore Waddell Lake right next door to Coon Lake, it's a stunning lake, and hiking along the Park Creek Trail is brilliant fun. Yeah, come up here to the Northern Cascade Range for a brilliant time. A journey to Agnes Gorge is always fun, and getting to Agnes Creek from Coon Lake is trouble-free. Coon Lake is a wet place that gets a good deal of rainfall; of all the months in a year November is       the one with the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. During the summer at Coon Lake highs are usually in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and night lows through the winter for Coon Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Stehekin River offers some perfect whitewater, and Coon Lake is good enough to spend more than a day                  at, High Bridge Campground is a good local campground. All the outdoors cool things in the Northern Cascade Range will keep you coming back time and again. A splendid place to camp here at Coon Lake is Shady Campground, and if you're here, you could also take a look at wonderful Battalion Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
