Cooks Mountain is delightful and can be made out from Cooks Lake. There's so much to do here at Cooks Lake that you need to camp here for a while, South Skookum Lake Campground is a brilliant spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp North Skookum Campground is a good place to do that, and there are brilliant locations to discover along the Hanna Flast Nature Trail.       Cooks Lake gets a common amount of yearly rain; during the month of December you get the most snow around here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Deer Springs, and a quick trip to Little Skookum Creek is absolutely a great idea. This place, Cooks Lake, it absolutely has so much outdoors cool stuff. Very delightful scenery and glorious skiing is what you get at Mt. Spokane. In case you don’t mind getting                  dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Priest River, and don't leave Cooks Lake without first going for a hike along the Chipmunk Rapids National Recreation Trail. For the duration of the warm months at Cooks Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's.
