Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Shield Lake, and after a long day outdoors Quality Inn & Suites is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. You simply have to love the Northern Cascade Range. There is a pleasant hiking trail right next door to Coney Lake called the County Line Trail, and Coney Lake is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Bridge Creek Campground is a perfect place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
