The high level of rain makes Colchuck Lake a pretty wet location; January is when you get the most snow here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Paddling on Icicle Creek is so much fun; a great close by hotel is Quality Inn & Suites. Stay the night at Eightmile Lake Campground, and float down the rapids of Icicle Creek in a kayak. And if that's not sufficient there's a lot more cool things to       do in the Northern Cascade Range. Go for a hike on the Miller Peak Trail, and at Colchuck Lake you can catch a sight of Colchuck Peak. This lake is so wonderful. At Colchuck Lake you always meet someone from Ellensburg, and Colchuck Glacier is something you shouldn't miss while you're here. Now, you may feel that's a load but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. If you need a place to stay Best Western Icicle Inn is a                  perfect choice; you can take a little spree to Colchuck Lake Dam if you're here at Colchuck Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Icicle Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and if you've had enough of Colchuck Lake, Tranquil Lake is nearby. There's so much to do here at Colchuck Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bridge Creek Campground is a splendid spot for that, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the County Line Trail. If you love the outdoors, you'll like Colchuck Lake. For the period of the warmest time of the year at Colchuck Lake temperatures are regularly in the 60's while night lows are ordinarily in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for Colchuck Lake tend to be in the 10's. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun.
