There is a brilliant hiking trail near Coffin Lake called the Terry Trail; you can take a little spree to Sherry Lake Dam while you're here at Coffin Lake. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sullivan River; Sherry Lake is a good lake nearby. Man, is there a load of exciting stuff to do in close proximity to Coffin Lake. Coffin Lake is good enough to spend more than a day       at, Flodelle Campground is a good local campground, and a beautiful lake like Gillette Lake is a delightful place to have a look at. Coffin Lake is frequently a pretty dried up place; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily December, that's the one that snows the most; September on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Flodelle Creek is a pretty stream that is worth stopping at, and the skiing at 49 Degrees North is great. There's so much                  to do here at Coffin Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Beaver Lodge Resort is a great place for that, and if you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Colville is a nice choice. Through the warm months at Coffin Lake highs are commonly in the 80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's.
