The beauty of Cody Lake is reason enough to stop by. At Cody Lake through the summertime highs are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Cody Lake plunge into the 10's. If you came for an overnight stay Twentyone Mile Campground is a good site to camp; perhaps you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Fish Lake

| | is just a very short distance away. Cody Lake is a location that is relatively dried up commonly; through December this area sees the most snow while October is commonly the driest month.
If the weather is great here at Cody Lake, you can go for a hike along the Seventeenmile Trail, and the White Mountain Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Roosevelt National Recreation | |

Area is a nice national park, and Thirteenmile Campground is a brilliant local campground.
On a magnificent day at Cody Lake you can take a hike along the Daisy Trail, of course you could also go to Sanpoil Lake while you're here; it's not far at all.

Interesting to see this area via google satelitte...in 1892 my paternal grandfather purchased 95.5 acres along the river at the China Bend area from the govt. It must have been repurchased by the Bureau of Reclamation when the Dam was being considered. Glad it's still beautiful.... |
