Cliff Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. The high level of rainfall makes Cliff Lake a reasonably wet spot; the month with most of the rain is November while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to pop by some interesting stuff, pop by Inspiration Point, and The Castle is clearly visible from Cliff Lake. Summertime at Cliff Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and the night
is a bit colder of course, regularly in the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are generally in the 40's; nighttime lows at Cliff Lake through the winter mostly plunge into the 30's.
Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Crystal Mountain, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Upper Johnson Lake is just a very

short distance away. A fine spot for whitewater paddling close to Cliff Lake is Skate Creek. There's so much to do here at Cliff Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Cougar Rock Campground is a perfect location for that. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Northern Cascade Range is unbeatable! Looking for some flowing water? Try Dead Horse Creek, and everybody loves Paradise Park.
This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Moraine Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, obviously you could also visit Frog Heaven if you're here; it's not far at all. While you're here at Cliff Lake you can take a hike along the Skyline Trail, and Cliff Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Longmire Campground is a wonderful local campground. On a pleasant day at Cliff Lake you can take a hike along the Tatoosh Trail, and Butter Creek is a perfect whitewater spot nearby.

Lake Christine
12 miles away
July 19, 2008-- We hiked up to Mt. Beljica this date. I would not recommend it just yet because of the unusually heavy snowfall last winter, unless you're very familiar with the trail. The entire trail is still snow covered from Lake Christine on up to the top of Mt. Beljica. We lost the trail, and then found it again.... that was a bit unnerving....

White Pass
25 miles away
...eally makes it special though, is the friendly, family-oriented atmosphere. It's what makes White Pass a ski and snowboard paradise.
The White Pass experience starts with a bountiful snowfall (350'' in an average season) and with the highest base elevation on the crest of the Washington Cascades.
The resort strikes a perfect balance between pulse quickening steeps, wide open cruisers and gentle learning areas with 33 percent of the terrain geared toward experts, 43 percent toward intermediates and 24 percent toward beginners.
Nothing gets you to the top faster than the Great White Express, Washington's only Doppelmayr high-speed detachable quad. Great White can take you from the base to the summit in five minutes.
White Pass is recognized as one of the greatest mountains to ride in the Northwest. Natural quarter-pipes, kickers, drops, cornices and chutes challenge even the most experienced boarder. It offers a half-pipe.
It's got one of the most scenic and well-maintained cross-country areas in the Northwest. The 18 km of double track, which allows both classic and ska...
