Paddling on Nisqually River is so much fun, and Clear Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Alder Lake Park is a great local campground. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do near Clear Lake. After a long day outdoors Americas Best Value Inn of South Tacoma is a glorious place to spend a night or two. Not far from Clear Lake, you'll come across Bass       Lake which is a picturesque lake, and a splendid close by hotel is La Quinta Inn AND Suites Lakewood. There's some interesting stuff to spot at Beaver Dam near Clear Lake. Lakes are good; Elbow Lake is a lake that's near Clear Lake. Much precipitation falls at Clear Lake; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; July on the other hand is the driest. Through the days of summer at Clear Lake highs are generally in the 70's with overnight                  lows in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Clear Lake. Be careful coming to the Northern Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna go home again.
