The winter brings highs down to the 40's while Claywood Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 30's. Claywood Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is December, and July is when it's the driest. Claywood Lake is located in the Olympic Mountains. Yep, outdoors entertaining       stuff truly is abundant here in the Olympic Mountains. Super 8 Port Angeles is a magnificent place to get some rest, and if you have time to spare, Olympic National Park is a national park worth a visit. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Olympic Mountains. Paddling on Skokomish River - North Fork is so much fun. Lakes are pleasant; Iceberg Lake is a lake that's near Claywood Lake. From Claywood Lake you acquire a great sight of Mount Claywood.                  This lake is so wonderful. The Lake Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and after a long day outdoors Days Inn Port Angeles is a good place to spend a night or two. Claywood Lake is right by the Elwha River Trail, and if you came to camp Heart of the Hills Campground is a great spot to do that. This place, Claywood Lake, it truly has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Skokomish River - North Fork, and as expected, this is a glorious neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Frog Lake is a lake around here. Cameron Pass is a good site to visit close by. There's so much to do here at Claywood Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Deer Park Campground is a good place for that. This lake is so wonderful.
