This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Long Ridge Trail, and Days Inn Port Angeles is a delightful place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. If you yearn for a little side spree, try Cameron Pass, and the Lake Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing things the Olympic Mountains has to offer. Head up to       Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge and strap some skis to your feet; if you need a spot to stay Port Angeles Super 8 Motel is a delightful choice. There's so much to do here at Claywood Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Deer Park Campground is a fine site for that. Claywood Lake is one of the lakes here in the Olympic Mountains. Claywood Lake is right by the Elwha River Trail, and Olympic National Park is one of the destinations that are great to explore                  close by. Do stop at Iceberg Lake right next door to Claywood Lake, it's a beautiful lake, and Skokomish River - North Fork is a wonderful whitewater spot close by. All the water falling down from the sky makes Claywood Lake a wet spot; most of the rain falls throughout December, and the driest of the months is July. Having a wonderful time at Claywood Lake is easy. Claywood Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Heart of the Hills Campground is a great local campground; you can run the rapids of Skokomish River - North Fork. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! The Olympic Mountains is unbeatable! A striking lake like Frog Lake in the vicinity of Claywood Lake is a good location to stop at, and the panorama of Mount Claywood is picturesque. All through the warmest time of the year highs here at Claywood Lake get into the 70's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's.
