If you are in this part of Washington make sure to pay a visit to Chitwood Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay GuestHouse Inn & Suites M is a good choice, and if you came for an overnight stay Turlo Campground is a glorious place to camp. Summertime at Chitwood Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. All year is a great time in the Northern Cascade Range if you love the outdoors. Verlot Campground is a pleasant local campground, and there's
splendid hiking along the Finney Peak Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Pilchuck River; don't leave Chitwood Lake without first going for a hike along the Gee Point Trail.
