Chitwood Lake frequently gets a good deal of rainfall; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain; July is when it's the driest. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing things the Northern Cascade Range has to offer. If you come at the right time of year, Stillaguamish River -       South Fork offers some good whitewater; Lake Julia is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. There's wonderful hiking along the Gee Point Trail; if you get bored of Chitwood Lake you could also stop at nearby Smelling Lake. During the summer months highs here at Chitwood Lake reach the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's; all through the dark hours                  in the wintertime at Chitwood Lake temperatures descend to the 30's. Dry warm beds await you at GuestHouse Inn & Suites M, and camping at Verlot Campground is always a fine experience. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Chitwood Lake; Finney Peak Trail is a good local trail; Chitwood Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Turlo Campground is a magnificent local campground.
