All the water falling down from the sky makes Charlie Lakes a wet place; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is when it's the driest. There are other locations here than Charlie Lakes, for example Marlene Lake; why not take a refreshing hike along the Middle Fork Trail. And that's not everything you can do here in the Northern Cascade Range. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Stephens Pass; a perfect

| | location to camp here at Charlie Lakes is Foss River Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Cooper Pass Trail; hey, Camp Robber Creek is a fine local stream. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork. This place, Charlie Lakes, it truly has so much outdoors amusing stuff. The snow is great at Alpental, and Charlie Lakes is nice enough to spend more than a day at, West Fork | |

Campground is a nice local campground. Charlie Lakes is right by the Annette Lake Trail, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Miller River - East Fork. During the summer at Charlie Lakes highs are typically in the 70's.
During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 40's; night lows in the 30's for Charlie Lakes. So much enjoyable stuff in the Northern Cascade Range, just tremendous.
After a long day outdoors Suncadia Resort is a splendid location to spend a night or two; not far from Charlie Lakes you'll come across Camp Robber Lake which is a stunning lake. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel
is Howard Johnson Snoqualmie/Summit, and you could always discover Camp Robber Valley. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful.

Bonnie Lake
 | Bonney lake Is not trained. It is drained in the winter, who ever runs the dam doesn't man it in winter so they let it drain. There was talk that they would not fill it any more....Just heard that Bonnie Lake is drained in the winter and then refilled in the Spring. Can you tell me why?... |
Stephens Pass
 | 1 PHOTO Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out... |
Alpental
 | Really good gets tons of snow but almost always wet has some very steep runs which are great and has some cliffs that are my size and some so i can learn... |
Snoqualmie
 | 3 PHOTOS From the steep and deep to the high-speed buffed-out cruisers, from our gentle learning areas to our benchmark parks and pipe, diversity is a way of life around here. With four unique base areas and less than an hour from Seattle on Interstate 90, no other resort in the country offers so much variety with this much convenience. Consider it a buffet for the outdoor enthusiast! For the third year in a row, we stayed open longer than any other resort in the state, this season through Memorial Day. What can we say? We love spring skiing as much as you do! So if you're looking for a true escape this winter, look no further than The Summit. Just around the corner... ...A MILLION MILES AWAY!... |

Pacific Crest Trail - section 25
 | 13 miles away Roundtrip Distance 17.4 miles Elevation Gain 2,574 ft. This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. In many instances the hiker will travel down a false herd path and eventually have to correct his/her course via backtracking. For these particular mountains, it is imperative that the hiker carry a compass (and know how to use it) and topographic map.... |
Honey Lake
 | 13 miles away The lake no longer has any trails to it. All trails are gone from nature reclaiming it. The only way into lake is through quartz creek road(no vehicles)2.5 miles. From there it is a bushwack up to the ridge(2000 ft). From the ridge you can see honey lake. 1000 feet down. The bush is thick in that area (45 degree angle going up and down(or it seem that steep). 15 years ago some guys fished out the lake in one day. Before tha the fish were between 18 to 24 inches rainbow. If you can make it you deserve the good fishing. Haven't fished there in 20 years it may not have any fish in it or it has big fish (I dont know never made it close enough recently to fish). Good luck.
