    Go to Charlia Lakes if you want to go to a nice lake. Not much rain falls here at Charlia Lakes; December is the wettest month with most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is one of the great places here in the Olympic Mountains.
Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Dosewallips River; close by you stumble on the Royal Creek Trail which is a good hiking trail. Summertime at Charlia Lakes
 
   arrives with high temperatures in the 60's while overnight lows are mostly in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Charlia Lakes temperatures plunge to the 30's. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! The Olympic Mountains is unbeatable! One of the dominant marks of the surroundings of Charlia Lakes is Buckhorn Mountain, and Quality Inn & Suites is a good place to get some rest.

               ought to love Charlia Lakes. Get soaked paddling on Dosewallips River, and you can go for a hike on the Baldy Trail. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more fun things to do here in the Olympic Mountains. Getting to West Branch Home Creek from Charlia Lakes is uncomplicated, and camping at Dosewallips Campground is always a glorious experience. A great close by hotel is Juan De Fuca Cottages; camping is available at River Campground.
This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Buckhorn Pass is always fun, and going for a hike on the Tubal Cain Mine Trail is always a great adventure.
