There's always Bonneville Dam to take a look at right next door to Cattail Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Cattail Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lewis and Clark RV Park. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Northern Cascade Range. You must pop by Wauna Point when you're here at Cattail Lake, and going for a hike on the Rock Creek Trail is       always a tremendous adventure. While you're here at Cattail Lake, you could also stop by gorgeous Bass Lake; after a long day outdoors Skamania Lodge is a good location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Butlers Pond is a nearby lake that you could explore, and Bonneville Hot Springs Resort is a tremendous location to get some rest. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Cattail Lake temperatures are regularly in the 70's, and during                  summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while Cattail Lake overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. The (historical) Cascades is a tremendous local attraction, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Tanner Cutoff Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range. Yep, outdoors amusing things truly is plentiful here in the Northern Cascade Range. A good vista of charming Munra Point is available from Cattail Lake, and needless to say Eagle Creek is a charming stream that is worth stopping at. And if that's not sufficient, there's heaps more to do in the neighborhood of Cattail Lake. Beacon Rock Golf Course is a nice golf course close by, and nearby you discover the Tanner Butte Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. So much amusing stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not enough time. There are some fine whitewater spots on Rock Creek - Columbia River Tributary. There's so much to do here at Cattail Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Dolce Skamania Lodge is a brilliant spot for that. Cattail Lake is a reasonably wet place generally with much precipitation; December is the wettest month with most rain; July is the month with the least moisture. And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable stuff just keep reading.
