Castle Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Castle Lake is a wet place that gets much precipitation; during December this area sees the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Camping at Merrill Lake Campground is always a fine experience, and going for a hike along the Coldwater Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. This lake is so wonderful. | | along the Fawn Lake Trail is nice fun.
Castle Lake is located in the Northern Cascade Range. At Castle Lake during the summer highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Castle Lake. Swamps like Castle Creek Marsh near Castle Lake make for delightful locations to pop by, and camping is available at Beaver Bay Campground.

fun stuff in the Northern Cascade Range, just phenomenal. After a long day outdoors Best Western Battle Ground Inn & Suites is a fine site to spend a night or two, and there's whitewater on Toutle - South Fork for all you adrenaline
people. This lake is so wonderful. Fawn Lake is a tremendous lake near Castle Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the Northern Cascade Range. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Hoffstadt Creek, and
do take a hike on the Toutle River Trail.
Now, you may think that's heaps but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Castle Lake. Some of the water close by flows, like South Fork Castle Creek. Lakes? Sure, Coldwater Lake is in the neighborhood.
