A visit to Castle Lake is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. At Castle Lake during the warm months highs are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Castle Lake temperatures fall to the 30's. All year is a magnificent time in the Northern Cascade Range if you love the outdoors. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Castle Lake; Fawn Lake Trail is a magnificent

| | local trail, and some of the water nearby flows, like South Fork Castle Creek.
This lake is so wonderful. The Coldwater Trail offers hiking at its best; camping is available at Beaver Bay Campground. And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do near Castle Lake. Motel & RV Park is a perfect choice.
Castle Lake mostly gets a great deal of rain; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is when it's the driest. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Northern
Cascade Range, too nice to be true. Hoffstadt Creek is a pleasant whitewater spot next to Castle Lake; camping at Merrill Lake Campground is always a delightful experience. Castle Lake is located in the Northern Cascade Range.
On a fine day you can take a look at Castle Creek Marsh, a swamp near Castle Lake, and there's nice hiking along the Toutle River Trail.
