A visit to Caskey Lake is always a good idea. Throughout the summer months at Caskey Lake temperatures are frequently in the 70's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's, and overnight lows at Caskey Lake throughout the winter ordinarily drop into the 30's. Texas Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Caskey Lake, and why not take a little spree to Flume Creek if you're here.
This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Finney Peak Trail, and Wilderness Village
is a delightful campground nearby. Sauk River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can have a look at Texas Pond Dam.
