Carter Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain while July is generally the driest month. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Carter Pond. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Carter Pond dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. This lake is       so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a perfect choice, and do schedule some time to go to Chico Bay if you have a chance. Erland Point Mobile Home Park is a fine local campground, and McCormick Woods Golf Course is a magnificent golf course close by. Why not camp at Carrington Mobile Home and RV Park while you're here at Carter Pond, and it's a delightful idea to have a look at Chico Creek. This lake is so wonderful.                  People from Bremerton-Silverdale love to come to Carter Pond, and Bremerton Super 8 Motel is a magnificent place to get some rest. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Big Quilcene River, and do stop at Heins Lake, it's a lovely lake. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing things the area right next door to Carter Pond has to offer.
