Go to Carter Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a delightful place to spend a night or two, and for you golfers we recommend close by McCormick Woods Golf Course. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Carter Pond, so little time. Lots of folks from Bremerton-Silverdale come to Carter Pond; it's a splendid idea to take a look at Chico Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Bremerton Super 8 Motel is a splendid choice, and Heins Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. Summertime highs at Carter Pond regularly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are typically in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Carter Pond.

Chico Bay is close by and always glorious to go to. There's so much to do here at Carter Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Erland Point Mobile Home Park is a nice place for that. Carter Pond mostly gets much precipitation;
the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is when it's the driest. If you come at the right time of year, Dosewallips River offers some tremendous whitewater. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Carter Pond has to offer, you can camp at Carrington Mobile Home and RV Park.
