The Olympic Mountains is great! Nearby lakes? Sure, Little Island Lake is close to Carson Lake, and taking a little journey to nearby Sisters Points is a brilliant idea. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Jefferson Creek, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Shelton is a magnificent location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. A fine site to camp here at Carson Lake is Summertide Resort,       and if you like swamps you're in luck, The Narrows is right nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you're stopping by Carson Lake from Shelton, you won't be the only one; Alderbrook Resort and Spa is a wonderful location to get some rest. Carson Lake is a wet site that gets a great deal of rainfall; December is the month that gets the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Carson Lake is a beautiful lake in the Olympic Mountains. While you're                  here at Carson Lake you can take a hike along the Mount Jupiter Trail; get yourself into a kayak and hit Hamma Hamma River. Summertime highs at Carson Lake frequently tend to be in the 70's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's with temperatures at Carson Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. Just can't get enough of Carson Lake. Take a little trip to Tahuya River since you're here at Carson Lake, as expected you could also pop by Lily Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the Olympic Mountains has to offer.
