Mutiny Bay Resort is a perfect campground here, and at Courtenay Dam near Carpenter Lake there are some exciting things to see. Through the summertime months, highs usually are in the 70's at Carpenter Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 40's with temperatures at Carpenter Lake dipping down into the 30's       through winter nights. If you need a place to stay Smiley's Motel is a magnificent choice, and while you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Bremerton-Silverdale. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Point No Point Resort is a splendid spot to camp; a visit to close by Appletree Cove is very relaxing. The annual precipitation here at Carpenter Lake is about average; of all the months in a year December is the one with the                  most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. A great close by hotel is Inns at Port Gamble, and why not a little side journey to Carpenter Creek.
