You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Northern Cascade Range has to offer. This lake is so wonderful. Carlisle Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Cowlitz Timber Trails Assoc is a great location to camp nearby, and if you get bored of Carlisle Lake you could also explore nearby Pond Number Seven. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm       havin' a pleasant time here at Carlisle Lake. You can take a little trip to Carlisle Lake Dam while you're here at Carlisle Lake; Thousand Trails is a glorious campground nearby. Carlisle Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is July. Holiday Inn Express Ocean Shores, Wa is a good place to get some rest, and Carlisle Lake is not the only site nearby, Pond Number Eight                  is a nearby lake. You can run the rapids of Cowlitz River next to Carlisle Lake; you'll meet a lot of folks from Centralia here. Summertime highs at Carlisle Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Carlisle Lake temperatures sink to the 30's.
