What a nice lake Capitol Lake is. This lake is so wonderful. There's always Deschutes Dam to visit right next door to Capitol Lake, and you're sure to run into some great people from Olympia here. Dry warm beds await you at Clarion Hotel Olympia, and why not go to close by Deschutes River if you're here at Capitol Lake. Nearby lakes? Sure, Barnes Lake is next to Capitol Lake, and close by you hit upon Capitol Point. Capitol Lake is one of the lakes here in the Olympic Mountains. This lake is so wonderful.

Valley Municipal Golf Course is a tremendous way to kill some time. Throughout the summer months highs here at Capitol Lake reach the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime
are normally in the 40's; overnight lows in the 30's for Capitol Lake. Capitol Lake gets lots of water; December is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is July.
If you want a wonderful time in the great
outdoors just come on up to the Olympic Mountains. If you need a place to stay Red Lion Hotel Olympia is a good choice, and camping at Capitol Lake is magnificent fun, Olympia Campgrounds is a magnificent local campground.
