    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Washington you can check out Canyon Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Canyon Lake is a rather wet place ordinarily with much rainfall; the month with most of the rain is November; the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. Soar down the rapids of Nooksack River - North Fork in a kayak. There's so much to do here at Canyon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Shuksan Campground is a pleasant location  
   for that.
Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Northern Cascade Range. All our national parks are wonderful places to explore, and Lake Chelan National Recreation Area is no exception, and needless to say, this is a splendid area for folks who like lakes, Damfino Lakes is a lake around here. So much amusing stuff in the Northern Cascade Range, just phenomenal. A short spree to Nooksack Falls is always worthwhile; at Nooksack Diversion
 
               Dam in the vicinity of Canyon Lake there are some interesting things to see. Why not check out nearby Wells Creek while you're here at Canyon Lake, and the top of Cowap Peak is easily observed from Canyon Lake.
There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Canyon Lake. After a long day outdoors Snowwater Condos is a delightful spot to spend a night or two; a delightful place close by is Excelsior Pass. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Cascade Range. Lakes are nice; Pinus Lake is a lake that's near Canyon Lake, and you can stay the night at Nooksack Campground.
The warmest time of the year at Canyon Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while Canyon Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's.
