    If you are in Whatcom county it's always a good idea to stop by Canyon Lake. During the months of summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at Canyon Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are typically in the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Canyon Lake plunge into the 30's. The high level of rain makes Canyon Lake a pretty wet site; November is the month that gets the most  
   rain, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Cascade Range.
This lake is so wonderful. A quick spree to Toboggan Creek near Canyon Lake is a wonderful idea, and if you come at the right time of year, Nooksack River - Middle Fork offers some fine whitewater. All the outdoors amusing stuff right next door to Canyon Lake will keep you coming back persistently. Stay the night at Riverview Park, and you're sure
 
               to run into some great people from Mount Vernon-Anacortes here.
Lake Chelan National Recreation Area is a very good place to stop at next to Canyon Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Snowwater Condos. You clearly have to go for the Northern Cascade Range. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Canyon Lake has to offer, you can camp at Canyon Creek Campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Racehorse Creek.
