The beauty of Canyon Lake attracts many people from all around. This lake is so wonderful. During the long summer days, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Canyon Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Canyon Lake. Man, is there heaps of enjoyable stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Camping is available at Shady Campground, and if you need a place to stay

| | Best Western Icicle Inn is a splendid choice. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Park Creek Trail, and since you're here why not stop at Ross Pass. The summit of Bannock Mountain can be spotted from Canyon Lake, and the Pacific Crest Trail - section 26 offers hiking at its best. Canyon Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Cascade Range. and a perfect place for whitewater paddling is Downey Creek. You truly must adore the Northern Cascade Range. In the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Wenatchee River, and
Canyon Lake is not the only place nearby, Image Lake is a nearby lake. There's good hiking along the Miners Creek Trail, and if you get bored of Canyon Lake you could also pop by close by Bannock Lakes.

 | 16 miles away Well, most of the information in this little blurb is wrong: The nearest Metro area is not Ellensburg, it is Leavenworth. Lake Elsley? I have never heard of it, and have been in the area for 30 years. There is no such place called Indian Ponds anywhere around the campground. Though a beautiful hike, Napeequa Crossing to Twin Lakes is not an easy stroll, it is approximately 3.2+ miles one way, with many switchbacks, and to the average city person, a hard slog. This Article makes it sound like White river falls are on the way to Twin Lakes, which they are not. They are reached by driving on up the valley 5 more miles or so to the correct turnout. Also, it should be mentioned that from the beginning of camping season till Mid August, you should slather yourself in Bug repellant to keep from being eaten alive by Mosquitoes. The campground is located on the confluence of the White and Napeequa Rivers, which flow into Lake Wenatchee.... |
