If only every place had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great planet it would be. Canyon Lake is a fine spot to visit for more than one day, Shady Campground is a fine spot to camp nearby, of course you could also explore Image Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. A wonderful vista of charming Bannock Mountain is available from Canyon Lake, and float down the rapids of Downey Creek in a kayak. For the duration of the long summer days at Canyon

| | Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's; the night is a tad colder of course, typically in the 50's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Canyon Lake. Having a good time in the Northern Cascade Range is uncomplicated. place to pop by close by. The Park Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you come at the right time of year, Little Wenatchee River offers some glorious whitewater. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern
Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool things the Northern Cascade Range has to offer. There's great hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 26, and a great nearby hotel
is Best Western Icicle Inn. The high level of rainfall makes Canyon Lake a reasonably wet location; November is when you get the most rain here while July is usually the driest month.

 | 16 miles away Well, most of the information in this little blurb is wrong: The nearest Metro area is not Ellensburg, it is Leavenworth. Lake Elsley? I have never heard of it, and have been in the area for 30 years. There is no such place called Indian Ponds anywhere around the campground. Though a beautiful hike, Napeequa Crossing to Twin Lakes is not an easy stroll, it is approximately 3.2+ miles one way, with many switchbacks, and to the average city person, a hard slog. This Article makes it sound like White river falls are on the way to Twin Lakes, which they are not. They are reached by driving on up the valley 5 more miles or so to the correct turnout. Also, it should be mentioned that from the beginning of camping season till Mid August, you should slather yourself in Bug repellant to keep from being eaten alive by Mosquitoes. The campground is located on the confluence of the White and Napeequa Rivers, which flow into Lake Wenatchee.... |
