This lake is so wonderful. Soda Springs Campground is a fine campground nearby; nearby you find the Lake Michael Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. Canan Lake is located in the Northern Cascade Range. Canan Lake generally gets much precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.       So many exciting things to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not enough time. Canan Lake is a fine location to visit for more than one day, White Pine Campground is a fine location to camp nearby, and going for a hike on the Miners Creek Trail is always a magnificent adventure. Cedar Creek is a wonderful stream that is worth a visit, and a fine site for whitewater paddling is Nason River. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Northern Cascade Range.                  Summer brings highs in the 60's to Canan Lake. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Canan Lake. If you need a spot to stay Best Western Icicle Inn is a brilliant choice, and Lake Creek is a glorious whitewater spot nearby. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site.
