     Sherman Creek has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby; hiking along the White Mountain Trail is great fun. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area near Camille Lake has to offer. A spree to Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area is recommended, and why not pop by close by Cornstalk Creek since you're here at Camille Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Camille Lake is right by the Daisy Trail, and Camille Lake is not the only  
   site close by, Apex Lake is a close by lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Hall Creek Flat is a perfect site to check out; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Colville. Camping at Cloverleaf Beach Campground is always a wonderful experience, of course you could also visit Bourgeau Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. One of the dominant characteristics of the surroundings of Camille Lake is Stranger Mountain, and if you came to camp Log Cabin Resort
 
               is a good spot to do that.
It is very dried out here at Camille Lake typically; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest month is October. Throughout the summertime months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Camille Lake. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Camille Lake dip into the 10's.

Interesting to see this area via google satelitte...in 1892 my paternal grandfather purchased 95.5 acres along the river at the China Bend area from the govt. It must have been repurchased by the Bureau of Reclamation when the Dam was being considered. Glad it's still beautiful....
