It's always fun to stop by Cain Lake. Cain Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Cascade Range. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Whatcom Creek; this is a popular location for folks from Bellingham. All year is a wonderful time in the Northern Cascade Range if you have a thing about the outdoors. Head up to Mt.Baker and strap some skis to your feet; whitewater paddling is not for

| | everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Skookum Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Burlington is a fine choice. The amount of rain that falls at Cain Lake is close to the national average; through November this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. spend more than a day at, Thousand Trails Mt Vernon is a great local campground. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Burlington, Wa is a nice place to get some rest, and you are in the neighborhood of South Bay since you're here.
Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Northern Cascade Range. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Lake Samish. There's so much to do here at Cain Lake that you need to camp here
for a while, Wildwood Resort is a magnificent spot for that. At Cain Lake all through the summertime months highs are in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are usually
in the 40's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Cain Lake tend to be in the 30's. It's a pleasant idea to have a look at Silver Creek, it's near Cain Lake; Glenhaven Lakes Dam has wonderful water scenery.
