Toketie Lake
 | 16 miles away I liked the little lake. I went straight up the canyon side from the last place the Snow Lakes trail comes near the creek, a little above the gully that comes down from Toketie. There is a puzzle at the top where the gully turns south 1/4 M from the lake. I climbed a small cliff there, could find no other way. The lake was pretty. Total distance about 3 miles one way....This is hystericcal. <.....> The short route is 7 or so miles and a 4000ft+ of elevation gain on a ''trail'' that is a more of a climbers path that most climbers avoid. Rat Creek is a season creek that drops 6000ft in 2 miles though loose overgrown terrain. The area is incredibly beutiful but take my advice and stay on maintained trails unless you know what your doing.... |
