Camping is available at Tiffany's Resort, and after a long day outdoors Klondike Motel is a tremendous location to spend a night or two. Some of the water close by flows, like North Fork Trout Creek, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Laws Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Empire Lake; if the weather is splendid,       you can go for a hike along the Bodie Tonata Creek Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things right next door to Lake Butte. If you came for an overnight stay Fisherman's Cove Resort is a tremendous place to camp, and dry warm beds await you at Northern Inn. For the period of the days of summer at Lake Butte highs are typically in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. Highs through the winter are typically                  in the 20's with temperatures at Lake Butte dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Around Lake Butte you don’t get a lot of rainfall; December is the month that gets the most snow, and the driest month of the year is October.
