If you need a location to stay Juan De Fuca Cottages is a delightful choice, and Buckhorn Lake is right by the Royal Creek Trail.
For the period of the days of summer here at Buckhorn Lake, high temperatures usually get into the
60's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Buckhorn Lake tend to be in the 30's. That right there is lots of amusing things
already but it goes on, the Olympic Mountains has it all. Get wet paddling on Dosewallips River, and camping is available at River Campground. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Dungeness River; while you're here, you might as well stop by Buckhorn Pass.
This lake is so wonderful.
