This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Boyd Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Turlo Campground is a splendid spot for that, and you can go for a hike on the Gee Point Trail. Lots of rain falls at Boyd Lake; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Northern Cascade Range. You'll need

 | 11 miles away WE USED TO FISH HUNT AND FOURWHEEL AT THE LAKE...We used to ride dirt bikes in the early 70's up to lake fontal, lotsa fun. I remember the cabins and little store that was up there when I was a kid in the 60's....I used to fish on Lake Fontal but now there isn't any fish.Warning: Lake Fontal Road is a dead end that does not lead to Lake Fontal. The lake is definitely not worth the trouble....We used to ride hores into lake fontal in the late 60's. There used to be a small resort there, complete with cabins, boat rentals,always a huge party opening weekend..(?) big foot sightings in the area...could of been the micro-dot.... |
