     Bowers Lake is a nice lake to visit. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is plentiful here in the Northern Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Bowers Lake; Finney Peak Trail is a good local trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Verlot Campground is a perfect spot to camp. Summertime highs at Bowers Lake generally tend to be in the 70's, and the nighttime is a tad cooler of course, mostly in the 50's. The  
   cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's; overnight lows through the winter for Bowers Lake tend to be in the 30's.
Any time is a perfect time at Bowers Lake if you adore the outdoors. Get wet paddling on Stillaguamish River - South Fork, and Lake Julia is a good lake nearby. Bowers Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; December is the month that gets the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. There's no way somebody can get bored
 
               here in the Northern Cascade Range. Camping is available at Turlo Campground; soar down the rapids of Pilchuck River in a kayak.
Good hiking is available along the Gee Point Trail; dry warm beds await you at GuestHouse Inn & Suites M. Best Western Sky Valley Inn, Monroe is a wonderful location to get some rest, and there are other places here than Bowers Lake, for example Chitwood Lake. Bowers Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Cascade Range.

WE USED TO FISH HUNT AND FOURWHEEL AT THE LAKE...We used to ride dirt bikes in the early 70's up to lake fontal, lotsa fun. I remember the cabins and little store that was up there when I was a kid in the 60's....I used to fish on Lake Fontal but now there isn't any fish.Warning: Lake Fontal Road is a dead end that does not lead to Lake Fontal. The lake is definitely not worth the trouble....We used to ride hores into lake fontal in the late 60's. There used to be a small resort there, complete with cabins, boat rentals,always a huge party opening weekend..(?) big foot sightings in the area...could of been the micro-dot....

This was a beautiful hike, coming out on a lake that was pristine and gorgeous. The only problem is, the hike is really long, steep, up hill, and was exhausting for me. I would consider this an upper intermediate hike....

Lake Beecher is surrounded on 3 sides by a wildlife reserve and a wooded flood plain. Several families of Beavers and Otters make their homes along the sides of the lake. Evidence of large fresh water muscles are often found on the aging docks of the 1920s & 1930s cottages that are along the lake. In the early morning & evening in the summertime, hot air balloons drift along the edge of the lake just above the treeline between the lake and the Snohomish River....
