Going for a hike on the Mount Defiance Trail is always a great adventure, and Gold Bar Nature Trails Sls Ofc is a glorious local campground. Boomerang Lake is a quite wet place regularly with a good deal of precipitation; December is when you get the most rain here while July is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. On a gorgeous day you get a sight of Bessemer Mountain from Boomerang Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Salish Lodge And Spa.

40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Boomerang Lake temperatures drop to the 30's. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! The Northern Cascade Range is excellent! After a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Snoqualmie/Summit
is a good location to spend a night or two, and Lake Blethen is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Boomerang Lake, you could also stop at pretty Lake Isabella; the slopes of
Snoqualmie are so inviting noone can resist. Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. Go for a hike on the Middle Fork Trail, and Alpental is a delightful
local ski area. If you come at the right time of year, Snoqualmie River - Middle Fork offers some splendid whitewater, and why not camp at Nor'west Motel and RV Park since you're here at Boomerang Lake.

Honey Lake
 | The lake no longer has any trails to it. All trails are gone from nature reclaiming it. The only way into lake is through quartz creek road(no vehicles)2.5 miles. From there it is a bushwack up to the ridge(2000 ft). From the ridge you can see honey lake. 1000 feet down. The bush is thick in that area (45 degree angle going up and down(or it seem that steep). 15 years ago some guys fished out the lake in one day. Before tha the fish were between 18 to 24 inches rainbow. If you can make it you deserve the good fishing. Haven't fished there in 20 years it may not have any fish in it or it has big fish (I dont know never made it close enough recently to fish). Good luck.

Stephens Pass
 | 20 miles away 1 PHOTO Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out... |
