If you are in Lewis county it's always a good idea to stop by Blue Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Cascade Range. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Blue Lake is excellent! Cowlitz River - Muddy Fork is a pleasant whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Blue Lake; if the weather is delightful, you get a wonderful view of Boundary Peak from Blue Lake. That right there is plenty of cool things already but it goes on, the Northern Cascade

| | Range has it all. Take a hike on the Tatoosh Trail, and a delightful site for whitewater paddling is Butter Creek.
Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Moraine Trail, and Maple Falls is an inspiring site to go to while here. The slopes of Crystal Mountain are so inviting noone can resist, and hiking along the Skyline Trail is splendid fun.

for an overnight stay River Bar Campground is a great place to camp, and Maple Creek is near Blue Lake and is always a diversion to stop by. Blue Lake is a pretty wet place regularly with a great deal of rain; during November this
area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Packwood RV Park and Campground. Lakes are fine; Snow Lake is a lake that's near Blue Lake.
Summertime at Blue Lake
arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Blue Lake are in the 30's. This lake
is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at White Pass, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Bench Lake.
