    Beautiful Blue Lake has much to offer visitors. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Skyline Trail, and you can stay the night at Packwood RV Park and Campground. And if that's not sufficient, there's a load more to do in the neighborhood of Blue Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Snow Lake, and do take a hike on the Moraine Trail. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful.
 
   This lake is so wonderful. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Maple Falls; hiking is a popular thing to do around Blue Lake; Tatoosh Trail is a splendid local trail. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. Whitewater paddling is great on Cowlitz River - Muddy Fork, and a day on the slopes of White Pass is just what you need. If you're here at Blue Lake, you could have a look at Maple Creek, and Butter Creek has  
               a great whitewater paddling spot nearby.
Lakes are glorious; Tatoosh Lakes is a lake that's near Blue Lake; from Blue Lake you obtain a glorious sight of Boundary Peak. So many exciting things in the Northern Cascade Range, just fantastic. Head up to Crystal Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. There's so much to do here at Blue Lake that you need to camp here for a while, River Bar Campground is a great site for that. The high level of rainfall makes Blue Lake a reasonably wet place; November is the month that gets the most rain; July is the month with the least moisture.
Throughout the warm months highs here at Blue Lake get into the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and night lows in the 30's for Blue Lake.

July 19, 2008-- We hiked up to Mt. Beljica this date. I would not recommend it just yet because of the unusually heavy snowfall last winter, unless you're very familiar with the trail. The entire trail is still snow covered from Lake Christine on up to the top of Mt. Beljica. We lost the trail, and then found it again.... that was a bit unnerving....
