Paddling on Siouxon Creek is so much fun; magnificent hiking is available along the Toutle River Trail. Blue Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Blue Lake has to offer, you can camp at Beaver Bay Campground, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Blue Lake; Saint Helens Way is a great local trail.

McBride Lake
 | 2/3 of the lake is gone. Kalama River now flows right thru the middle of what used to be the lake. It is amazing to see. The 8100 road is washed out at mile 11 so plan on a 2 mile walk....McBride Lake is no longer in existance. Though I will have this confirmed on July 23, 2008. It is my understanding that during the 2007/2008 winter, a massive land slide occurred which filled the lake. McBride was once a great lake to catch and release fish throughout the day....McBride Lake is no longer in existance. Though I will have this confirmed on July 23, 2008.
