A visit to Blue Lake is always a good idea. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Cascade Range. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Blue Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are generally in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Blue Lake. Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. The high level of rainfall makes Blue Lake a pretty wet spot; all through December this area sees the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. On a nice day you can have a look at Goat Marsh, a swamp in the neighborhood of Blue Lake, and if you want a little side tour, try Sheep Canyon. All the outdoors fun stuff in the neighborhood of Blue Lake will keep you coming back time and again. Roy's Motel & RV Park is a brilliant spot
to get some rest; there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Toutle River Trail. And if that's not enough there's loads more cool things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. There's some flowing water nearby, Coldspring Creek
is a stream you can stop at during your stay, and a splendid place for whitewater paddling is Canyon Creek - Lewis River Tributary. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Coldwater Trail is always a pleasant adventure,
and Blue Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Merrill Lake Campground is a perfect local campground.
A short journey to Kalama Spring is always worthwhile, and a fine location to camp here at Blue Lake is Beaver Bay Campground.
