If you are in this part of Washington make sure to pay a visit to Blue Lake. The Happy Lake Ridge Trail is a brilliant hiking trail close to Blue Lake, and a day on the slopes of Hurricane Ridge Ski Lodge is just what you need. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do in the vicinity of Blue Lake. Stay the night at Log Cabin Resort and Trailer; if you come at the right time of year, Lyre River offers some nice whitewater. The Olympic Mountains

After a long day outdoors Quality Inn Uptown is a good place to spend a night or two; if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the Boulder Lake Trail. and there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Soleduck Trail. A fine location to visit near Blue Lake is Appleton Pass. Lakes? Sure, Boulder Lake is in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much
to do here at Blue Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Indian Valley Motel and RV Park is a fine place for that, and if you're going to from Port Angeles, you won't be the only one. This lake is so wonderful. All our national
parks are tremendous places to have a look at, and Olympic National Park is no exception; soar down the rapids of Elwha River in a kayak. During the summer highs here at Blue Lake get into the 70's. All through the dark hours
of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Blue Lake dipping down into the 30's throughout winter nights. Blue Lake gets much water; the
month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is when it's the driest. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! The Olympic Mountains is peerless! Bridge Creek is a wonderful stream that is worth taking a look at, and a fine sight of wonderful Mount Appleton is available.
