If you need a place to stay Sun Mountain Lodge is a great choice; Granite Creek is a delightful whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Blue Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Rainbow Falls Campground is a nice local campground. Summertime highs at Blue Lake regularly tend to be in the       80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Blue Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Have a nice hiking adventure along the West Fork Methow Trail; you can run the rapids of Stehekin River. Since you're here at Blue Lake why not pop by Washington Pass, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Driveway Butte                  Trail. And if that's not sufficient there's plenty more entertaining things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Hiking along the Rainbow Lake Trail is wonderful fun, and here at Blue Lake you can make out Hinkhouse Peak. Blue Lake is located in the Northern Cascade Range. There's so much to do here at Blue Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Roads End Campground is a nice site for that; a scenic lake like Dagger Lake is a brilliant place to stop by.
